Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept most major credit/debit cards. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. |
Shipping And Handling We will despatch your order straight away or as soon as stock is available.
As well as our own delivery vehicles, we use local and national distribution companies to deliver the goods. Where goods are of a heavy or sizeable nature, delivery will normally be made using a vehicle with a tail lift to offload up to 1 tonne pallets (this excludes turf, soil and bark products). If HIAB (crane) offloading if required, please contact us prior to placing your order where we can advise you of the additional charge.
The distribution company will make every practical effort to offload the pallet in your desired location, however due to weight of the items and strict Health and Safety regulations, this is not always possible. Therefore we ask that you carefully consider the feasibility of the unloading of the goods to the required location before making your purchase.
Your Signature is required on the couriers Documentation. If you cannot be in any working day for delivery then we ask that a neighbour be asked to sign for the goods. Again if this is not possible, we then will ask you to return a form by email or fax in which you accept liability for the goods left on your premises without proof of delivery. The driver will then sign the delivery note to say the item has been delivered and will post a copy through your letterbox.
Due to the size and weight of the products that the courier service are delivering, once a date has been set and you have been contacted with a date and estimated time of delivery you must ensure that you are at the delivery destination to receive the goods. If you are not at the delivery destination for any reason you will be charged an extra cost to have the goods re-delivered. If you do not wish to incur this extra cost (which is normally the same cost as the original delivery cost paid), the only other option is to have the goods returned and you will be refunded the full amount less the cost of delivery. Where goods are of a small consignment, the carrier may leave a calling card to arrange for alternative delivery or a collection point. The carrier may request additional payment to re-deliver the goods. This cost would be a separate agreement between yourselves and them.
If goods have to be returned to us due to problems with access or the nature of the delivery point we can not refund the cost of the attempted delivery or the cost of returning the goods to ourselves. It is important you consider every aspect of the delivery point including are there any steep gradients, soft surfaces, parking restrictions etc as all these elements could prevent a delivery from being successful.
It is illegal to tip bulk materials on public roads. In some circumstances local councils may grant restricted permit, subject to certain conditions being met. It is our customer's responsibility to obtain the permit in advance of delivery. |
Delivery Schedule Where possible, lead time is indicated in the product description. If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will be emailed straight away to inform you of this along with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
A general guide to availability is as follows: -
Sykes turf and other Sykes products: 2-4 working days
Garden furniture: 10 working days
Stone, aggregates and garden features: 3-5 working days
In any case, the date of delivery will be advised to you by email prior to despatch. |
